Baltimore Peninsula is a developing area plastered with “Coming Soon” signs of hopeful businesses. It’s nice to walk around the new, clean sidewalks and roads in the dystopian area, but there is little indication about the types of businesses that will inhabit the empty storefronts.
However, besides the Sagamore Spirit distillery and Rye Street Tavern, there are already a few new eateries in the area that you can visit today. Here’s what to know.
Little Wing
Nestled next to the Roost hotel sits Little Wing at 2460 Terrapin Way. The quiet, quaint coffee shop is open daily and serves drip coffee, espresso, tea and an assortment of sandwiches and other baked goods.
It’s easy to miss Little Wing as it’s a hole in the wall, but the limited size of the coffee shops adds to its ambiance. As of writing, Little Wing visitors can only enter through the Roost hotel lobby entrance.
SluttyVegan
As the audacious name describes, SluttyVegan is a vegan restaurant serving plant-based burgers and fries. The Baltimore Peninsula location is the restaurant chain’s 12th establishment in the U.S. and first in Maryland.
SluttyVegan’s plant-based burgers are accompanied by theme-adjacent menu names, such as:
One Night Stand
Plant-based patty loaded with Slutty Strips vegan bacon, vegan cheese, onions, lettuce, tomato, and our Slut Sauce on a vegan Hawaiian bun.
Sloppy Toppy
Plant-based patty loaded with jalapeños, vegan cheese, onions, lettuce, tomato, and our Slut Sauce on a vegan Hawaiian bun.
Fussy Hussy
Plant-based patty loaded with pickle, vegan cheese, onions, lettuce, tomato, and our Slut Sauce on a vegan Hawaiian bun.
If the vegan options and fun theming weren’t enough to grab your attention, the beautiful ambiance of the restaurant surely will.
Ben & Jerry’s
A well-known American ice cream name opened a new shop in Baltimore Peninsula. Enjoy the frozen treat at one of the shop’s indoor tables or take it to go and eat it on the nearby waterfront trail.
Baltimore Peninusla is home to the ice cream giant’s first Baltimore Scoop Shop location. It offers inclusive dairy-free options, including Strawberry Cheezecake and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.
Coming Soon…
The Live-K Karaoke bar is still in development in the Baltimore Peninsula. According to the South Bmore publication, the karaoke bar is “designed with a sensational futuristic lighting style, using the pioneering concept of ‘Grand Scene, Grand Rendition,’ featuring a 22-square meter LED mega-screen atmospheric lobby, four first-class theme rooms, and 11 modern entertainment rooms.”
It will also offer a Japanese barbecue food menu featuring skewers, as well as noodle and rice dishes. It has a full bar featuring beer, wine, and liquor bottle service.
Unrelated to eateries, a massive temporary dog park opened in the Peninsula in late 2024 and an Under Armour basketball court, which is open to the public, is also available behind the newly minted UA Headquarters building.
